EBOOST is the Healthy Option for Energy!

I was lucky enough to be able to sample EBOOST natural energy supplement with my Influenster Holiday VoxBox. The sample they sent me was 'Pink Lemonade', which was even more exciting because everyone loves the taste of lemonade! I have tried Crystal Light lemonade flavors before and although they were good, they weren't amazing. It always just had a little bit of a fake lemonade taste to it. I immediately liked this product more than others on the market because it's ingredients are completely natural!

The EBOOST comes in a little packet, that you simple rip open and then poor the contents into a glass of cold water. It mixed very quickly, and didn't have an overwhelming powdery taste to it like other drinks. There was a small bit of foam at the top of the glass, which was pretty unappealing to me. I wish it had appeared totally clear, like it was just a flavored water or like real lemonade, without the foam. 

The taste of the drink was surprisingly good. It was sweet and tart like lemonade but didn't taste like a fake powdery drink. The flavor was tasty, although I wouldn't say it is as good as a fresh glass of lemonade! However, it was very easy to drink, and I would have no problem drinking it again in the future. 

I should mention that I am on some medication that does not allow me to have caffeine  so for that reason I was a little hesitant to drink the entire glass of this because I didn't want to feel jittery. I let my dad drink the majority of the glass, and he gave me his opinion. He said the flavor was very good, and he drank the entire glass in no time! About five minutes after drinking it he said he did feel energized, like he needed to be out hiking or exercising. I guess it really does give you energy! He was pacing the house for hours, saying how he needed to get out and do something. LOL! 

So overall, this drink really does boost your energy level and it tastes great at the same time! I wouldn't recommend taking this if you are just sitting around the house, or you will end up like my dad with all that energy and no where to go! I can imagine if you drank this right before a workout,  you would probably  burn so many more calories! I would also drink this halfway through my day of work, it would give me the little boost I needed to finish the day! And it is great because it is all natural, meaning you don't have to worry about crashing in a few hours like you do with energy drinks or sugar!

Science Diet Natural Balance Fruity Snacks - A HUGE Hit!!

Earlier this month I was sent a package of Science Diet Ideal Balance Fruity Snacks with Cranberries and Oatmeal dog treats. I was so excited to give them to my two border collies, Nate and Miley, because they simple love everything from Science Diet they have tested! Nate is completely addicted to treats and is always convincing me he needs another. He eats a lot of Milk Bones, and once in a while a Beggin' Strip. I was really excited to let them try out these treats because I really trust Science Diet, and their products always provide a really healthy option for my dogs!

The dogs are always interested in packages I receive in the mail, and they jumped right up when I pulled the snacks out of the box. I could tell they loved the smell right through the package!

When it was time to try the treats for the first time, I was a little worried if they would like them. They are hard crunchy treats, similar to a Milk Bone. You can see the large chunks of cranberries and oats in each treat. Nate is always a little hesitant to try something new, but he took the treat and then went over to the living room to inspect it. He smelled it for a minute and then ate it right up! Miley loved hers as well, it was gone in no time!

Now my dogs beg for these snacks over the Milk Bones! They are some of their favorites! Usually new treats are hard to get them used to, but not these! They love them!! And I love them because I know they are all natural and from a company that I can trust to feed my little babies!

Goody Quikstyle Saves Precious Time!

Another product that I was able to test in my Influenster Holiday Voxbox was the Goody Quikstyle paddle brush! This is an amazing brush that includes absorbent microfibers in the brush which helps to dry your hair faster than ever! The microfibers are antimicrobial, so you don't have to worry about mold, and the handle has tons of air holes which help it to dry out fast. It retails for about $12.99 and is available at most stores like Walmart and Target! 

The Goody Quikstyle Paddle Brush

I was super excited to try this brush because my  hair takes FOREVER to dry. Even using  a hair dryer, it will easily take 20 minutes to dry my hair. I always have to really towel dry my hair just to keep it from dripping when I get out of the shower, it just really holds in the moisture! 

The first time I used this brush was when I was just going to air dry my hair. I didn't use a blow dryer because I wanted to see just how much water the brush would absorb. I was so impressed!! I immediately starting brushing after I got out of the shower, and to my surprise, I didn't even have to towel dry my hair at all! The brush absorbed everything! I brushed my hair for maybe five minutes and it was nearly dry! It usually takes my hair  a few hours to air dry, but I'd say it was half way there in just a few short minutes with this brush! Once it gets to a certain point of dryness, it doesn't really help out more because the excess water is gone, but this brush is amazing for when you just hop out of the shower! 

Here are a few tips for using this brush when your hair is soaking wet: 
- After a few strokes, shake the brush in the air to dry it out a little bit. The microfibers get so wet they lay down, and you need to fluff it back up to get it to dry your hair more. 
- Also make sure to remove any loose hair that is in the brush because that cause the microfibers to lay down as well!
- Lastly, brush your hair from the underside and in all different directions so the hair pulls against the microfibers, which cause them to pull in more moisture!

So this brush is amazing for drying wet hair, but it also works great for detangling! In the past I have used a Goody Plasmium Gel paddle brush, and love it because it is so gentle on my hair. It has a very soft pad where the bristles are attached so it doesn't feel rough at all when you brush. The Goody Quikstyle brush is a little more ridged on your head when you brush. It is a little stiff so I just brush my hair a little softer with it so it doesn't scrap my head. Overall, it does work really great though for tangles. With just a few quick strokes my hair is totally straight and free of tangles! That is amazing for me, because until I found Goody products, I always had a terrible problem with tangles!

When using this brush along side a blow dryer, it works just as great! It makes it dry twice as fast, and it is really great for styling. I use the brush to help curl the ends of my hair or get my hair to flow in a certain direction. It is great because you  are drying your hair from both sides. The blow dryer air hits one side, while the microfibers absorb water from the other!

Overall, this is a fantastic brush! I would recommend this to anyone who is tired of slow drying hair! This brush works wonders!

Kiss Nail Dress is Bling for Your Nails!

As you may have read from my other post, I was selected to receive the Holiday VoxBox from Influenster. Influenster is a great website that allows you to test awesome products for free. One of the products that I was able to test was Kiss Nail Dress, which are kind of like blinged out stickers for your nails.

I was so excited to see that I would be able to test the Nail Dress, because I have seen similar products in the stores and always thought they were pretty. The design I was sent is KDS15, which is a solid black topped with gold dots that spiral in different patterns. I usually don't wear black nail polish, but they looked very decorative, and reminded me of something I would wear with a cute little black dress.

The application of the nails is fairly easy. The package includes a wide range of sizes, so there is something to fit everyone's nails. They also are made to fit either finger or toe nails, so you can choose where you want to place them. I decided to do a nice manicure on my fingers, so I shaped my finger nails before hand and made sure they were really smooth and clean. It says to clean your nails with alcohol before hand, which I did. It was a little hard to figure out which size sticker I needed for which nail. They come on a plastic sheet, and I had to cut each nail sticker out so that I could bend it around my nail easily to see if it was the right size. I am a bit of a perfectionist, so I spent quite a lot of time choosing the size for each finger. When I started applying them, I realized that even thought I put a lot of effort into picking the right sizes, the stickers still appeared a little small on my nails. If you pulled the side of my finger down, you could see some nail that wasn't covered by the sticker. But just by casually looking at my nails, the stickers appeared to fit great.

After you place the sticker on your nail (which are really long at first), you bend the end of it over the tip and then file off the excess. It takes a bit of filing, depending on the rhinestones, or designs that are on the stickers. The stickers are also a little rubbery, so I had to hold the sticker in place while I filed so it wouldn't pull and get looking weird or wrinkled.

I know Kiss says that the nails are a fast manicure but it took me over an hour to put all 10 stickers on. Like I said before, I was being a perfectionist,  but it still took a bit longer than I anticipated.

The manicure looked great! I have never had my nails done with anything other than plain nail polish, so I was in love! The design is very pretty, and looks perfect for a night on the town!  The only little flaw with them at the beginning was that the edges of my nails were they were filed felt very rough. It took me til the next day to have them feel more rounded off and natural.

As the days went on I was amazed at how well the Kiss Nail Dress stayed put! I was really worried that they would fall off as soon as they got wet. However, I washed my hands over and over, and took many showers and they never even moved. Towards the seventh or eighth day, the edges where they were filed began to peel up and chip a bit. It started to bother me that they felt rough and would stick to things so I took the Nail Dress off at that point.

The one downside to this product is what happened to my nails when I took them off. The stickers pulled up parts of my nails along with them, which left my nails flaky and peeling. On my thumbs it actually pulled full strips of my nail layers off with the sticker. That really disappointed me because I had loved the product up to that point! I put some really strong hand cream on my nails and they are recovering now, but it did hurt them quite a bit!!

I still have to say I love this product, but because of the sore nails afterwards, I will only use them occasionally. I can see myself buying Kiss Nail Dress if I am headed for a weekend in Vegas or for a special event like a wedding. The designs look amazing, and people thought I really had a professional manicure! There are also so many designs available, there is sure to be one that you would love!

NYC New York Color Liquid Lipshine = LOVE

I was so happy to be chosen to receive the Influenster Holiday VoxBox! Influenster is a great website that offers you new products to try and review for free! This was my first time getting a box of goodies from them and I was so impressed! One of the items they sent to me was NYC New York Color Liquid Lipshine! The lip gloss I sampled was a shade called Nude York City #582. It is a very natural color, a little on the brown side, but it still has a hint of pink.

I was really excited to try the lip gloss because I am still looking for that go-to product for me. I wear a lot of Chapstick type of products  but usually stay away from lip gloss. The brands I have tried in the past have been really sticky and seem to disappear off my lips quickly. I always feel like I have to be really careful with  my lips because the gloss is so thick on them.

I was very impressed with the way the NYC New York Color Liquid Lipshine felt on my lips. It was very smooth and not sticky in the way other lip glosses are. The color also seemed to last for quite a long time. I looked in the mirror after a few hours and my lips still looked great! The flavor is also really yummy, it is very similar to the scent of candy and baked goods. A very sweet and sugary flavor and smell!

My favorite part of this Lipshine is the way it makes my lips look! As soon as I applied the Lipshine, I noticed a change in the appearance of my lips. They looked so soft and moist. They were a very consistent color, which appeared very natural and healthy. It seems funny to say, but it made my lips look so kissable!! Wearing this Lipshine makes me feel so confident, and beautiful! I feel like everyone notices my pretty lips!
I am interested in trying the other shades that NYC New York Color offers, as this is an amazing product! I will be keeping this in my purse everywhere I go! It is a must have for a dinner date or a night on the town! Love at first sight! Thanks again to Influenster and NYC New York Color!

Zicam is a Life Saver During Cold Season!

I was so excited when I found out I would be able to test the new Zicam Rapid Melts for free as a Crowdtap Sample and Share. I have always been one to catch colds, and now that I have a few other medical problems, the colds seem to last for much longer. The last cold I had lasted for almost two weeks and would not go away! So I was more than willing to give Zicam a try, especially if it meant that my colds would go away faster, or possibly not develop much at all!

I received my package from Crowdtap in the mail, and was in shock by how much of the product Zicam sent! I did not just receive small trial packets to share, they sent me six full size boxes of it! The timing was perfect  because my dad was just telling me about how he caught a really bad cold. He never gets sick, but was having a really painful sore throat. I gave him a box of the Rapid Melts, and he said that his sore throat was almost completely gone after letting the product melt on his tongue. He said he did still have a little bit of a stuffy nose, but his throat felt MUCH better. He also told me that the taste was actually pretty good, and that it almost resembled candy. He said he would have no problem continuing to take the medicine as needed for his cold.

I am happy to say up to this point of the Sample and Share, I haven't really caught a terrible cold. However, I have had a few days where my throat was scratchy and my nose felt a little stuffed. I took a Zicam as soon as I woke up feeling like something was coming. The flavor was much better than I anticipated! I had braced myself for a  horrible medicine flavor, but instead it was just a sugary cherry taste! They dissolve VERY quickly in your mouth; mine were gone within maybe 15 seconds. Since they do dissolve quickly, you do get a bit of a powdery taste in your mouth, which is the only part about the melt I didn't really like. But overall, the taste is very good for a medicine. I would almost compare it to Smarties. And it works too! The medicine made my itchy throat go away instantly and  I no longer felt like I might be catching a cold!

Zicam is wonderful at reducing your symptoms, especially a sore throat. Did it shorten our colds? That's a little hard to answer, how will we ever know? But overall I do think Zicam can do wonders for a cold. Every one of my friends and family that tried it said that it did reduce their symptoms and make them feel better! I am happy to welcome anything that can take away those horrible cold symptoms, so I will be buying Zicam Rapid Melts when my next pre-cold strikes!
