Colgate Optic White - Does it really work??

Another great product that I was able to test in my Influenster Sugar n Spice Voxbox was the line of Colgate Optic White. They were generous enough to send me the toothpaste, toothbrush and mouthwash! I could not be more happy to try out a product that can help whiten my teeth! They have turned pretty yellow over the years and I am not even sure why! I don't drink coffee or smoke, so it must just be from what I eat. Anyway, I was really hoping for great results with these products!

Now first I must say, I am not a big fan of mouthwash. I find the flavor to be too strong for me and I always end up gagging before the time is up. I gave the Colgate Optic White mouth wash a try, and the flavor was a bit bitter. It really did leave an aftertaste in my mouth, but it was something I got used to very fast. Now it doesn't bother me at all. It foams up in your mouth, so it leaves that feeling that it is really doing its job at whitening.

With the toothpaste, the first thing I noticed is that it is much thicker in texture than other I have used. It has a minty flavor but it, like the mouthwash, has a little bit of bitterness to it. I got used to it really fast, so if I can handle it, you can too! Also, because the texture is thick, it really stays put on your teeth while you brush, which I think would help quite a bit in whitening. With other toothpastes, I have felt like it kind of vanishes after a little bit but this toothpaste works great all the way through brushing. I have also noticed my breath feels fresh for a long time after brushing. I don't feel like I have bad breath in the middle of the day, it stays fresh until I brush again before bed. 

The toothbrush is also a little different than what I was used to. The first time I used it I was a little shocked by how it felt. It has the rubber pieces in the center, and you wouldn't think it would make a difference but it feels way different from a normal brush the first time you use it! You could feel the rubber across your teeth and I felt like I had to brush for longer than I normally do because the rubber pieces felt big, like maybe they weren't scrubbing enough. But like the other products, I got used to it really fast and now I don't even notice the rubber. I also love one feature in particular on this toothbrush, it has a wonderful tongue scrubber on the back! It works really great and seems to have more texture than other brushes.

My overall results with Colgate Optic White is exciting. At first, I didn't notice much. Over a week went by and I didn't notice anything but kept brushing and using the products. It has been about a month and my teeth are slowly getting whiter and whiter! I can't wait to keep using the products and see just how white my teeth will become! I especially love it because it is a product that whitens my teeth and it doesn't require anything extra from me. I am going to brush my teeth, so why not use this Colgate that will whiten while I brush?
